Be the answer,
not the tenth result.
Tentharc is a web development studio building websites, applications, and search presence for businesses that want to be found — including by the AI assistants their customers now ask first.

An assistant answering a question credits three or four sources. Ranking tenth used to mean less traffic. Now it means none.
What does Tentharc do?
Three things, done the same way every time.
We build the site, we build the product, and we make sure both get found. Usually all three, for the same client, in one engagement.
- Websites
Web development
We design and build marketing sites, product sites, and web applications on Next.js — server-rendered, accessible, measured, and deployed to a URL you own. A typical site takes three to six weeks.

- Applications
App development
Yes. We build cross-platform applications with real product logic — accounts, permissions, and data — using React Native with Expo for mobile and Next.js with Supabase for web. A first version typically takes six to fourteen weeks.

AEO & SEO
Answer engine optimisation is the work of becoming a source that AI assistants cite when they answer a question, rather than a result buried on a page nobody scrolls. It shares its foundations with SEO — crawlable, fast, well-structured pages — but the target is the citation, not the ranking.

Why does AI search change what a website has to do?
Search used to end on a results page. Now it ends in an answer.
Your customers ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini before they open a search results page — and the reply names three or four sources rather than ten. If you are not one of them, you were not in the conversation at all.
What gets cited turns out to be fairly consistent, and none of it is a trick. The page answers the question directly and early. The claims are specific enough to survive being summarised. The business is described identically everywhere it appears. And the content is in the HTML, because a great many crawlers never run your JavaScript.
That is why the build and the search work are the same engagement here rather than two vendors blaming each other. A site that is fast, server-rendered, and structured the way its content actually is happens to be the site that gets quoted.
- What we measure
- Citation share across a fixed set of the questions your buyers ask — recorded before the work starts, re-run every month.
- What we report
- Citations, search position, answer coverage, and enquiries attributed to organic and assistant referrers. Four numbers, no adjectives.
- What we will not promise
- A ranking position or a guaranteed citation. Nobody controls those systems, and anyone selling the guarantee is selling you something else.
How does a project actually run?
Six stages, and nothing skips ahead.
Each one has an exit condition. Until it is met, the project does not move on — which is how a launch date stays a date rather than a hope.
- 01
Qualify
A twenty-minute call. We establish the outcome, the decision-maker, the budget range, and whether the deadline is real.
- 02
Scope
Your brief becomes a written description of what will exist when we are done, priced as a fixed amount. You sign that, not a vague estimate.
- 03
Set up
Repo, database, hosting, analytics. By the end of the first week there is a staging URL you can open.
- 04
Build
Weekly increments, reviewed on staging every Friday. Anything outside scope becomes a written change order before work on it starts.
- 05
Launch
A pre-launch checklist runs: performance, accessibility, structured data, redirects, backups, analytics, and every form tested including its failure path.
- 06
Handover
Documentation, a recorded walkthrough, and admin access to everything. You could replace us the next morning — which is the point.
What does it cost, and how long does it take?
Fixed price per phase, agreed in writing before anything is built.

- Pricing model
- Fixed per phase
We price a fixed amount per phase rather than by the hour. Hourly billing penalises us for working quickly and makes clients hesitant to ask questions, which is the opposite of what a good project needs.
The exact figure depends on scope, integrations, and how compressed the calendar is — so it comes after a call and a written scope, never before. Scope changes are quoted as a written change order and approved before any work on them begins, including the small ones.
The most common cause of a late launch is content, not code. We agree who writes the copy and when it arrives before the build starts, and say so plainly in the proposal.
