We are deliberately small and founder-led, which means the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. ### How do I start a project with Tentharc? Send a short description of what you need through the contact form, and you get a reply within one working day. If it looks like a fit, we book a twenty-minute call to understand the outcome you want, then send a written scope and a fixed price within three working days. Nothing is billed until you have that scope in writing and have agreed to it. ### Do you work with clients outside your own country? Yes. Most work is done remotely, with a weekly written update and a call whenever a decision needs one. We work with clients across time zones and are explicit about overlap hours before a project starts. ### What kind of projects does Tentharc turn down? We decline projects with a deadline that is already impossible on day one, briefs that amount to copying a competitor with no scope, work that requires guaranteeing a specific Google ranking, and clients who cannot name a single decision-maker. Saying no early is cheaper for both sides than discovering the problem in week five. ### How long does a website take to build? A marketing site of five to eight pages typically takes three to six weeks from signed scope to launch. An application with accounts and real product logic typically takes six to fourteen weeks. The single most common cause of delay is content. If copy, logo, and photography are ready when the build starts, projects land on the date we quoted. ### How does Tentharc price projects? We price a fixed amount per phase, agreed in writing before work starts, rather than billing by the hour. Hourly billing penalises us for working quickly and makes clients hesitant to ask questions, which is the opposite of what a good project needs. Scope changes are quoted as a written change order and approved before any work on them begins — including small ones. ### What happens after the site launches? You own everything, and you can walk away. The code, the content, and the accounts are yours once the final invoice is paid, and the handover documentation is written to be enough on its own. Most clients take the monthly care plan instead: dependency and security updates, uptime monitoring, verified backups, a fixed pool of change hours, and a committed response time. ### What technology does Tentharc build on? Next.js and TypeScript for the front end, Supabase and Postgres for data and authentication, Vercel for hosting, and PostHog for analytics. Mobile work is React Native with Expo. The framework choice follows from the search work rather than from preference: server-rendered HTML is what crawlers and AI assistants can actually read, and a client-rendered application works against the thing we are selling. ### Will I be able to edit the website myself? Yes. Every site includes a content model matched to how you actually work, so a non-technical person can change copy, images, and pages without asking us. We cover it in a recorded thirty-minute walkthrough at handover, so it is there when you need it in four months rather than in a call you half remember. ### Who owns the code and the accounts? You do. Hosting, database, analytics, and domain accounts are created in your name wherever possible, and we work inside them with access you grant and can revoke. It means leaving us is a permissions change rather than a migration project. We think that is the only honest way to run a studio. ### What is answer engine optimisation? It matters because a growing share of buyers now ask an assistant before they open a search results page, and an assistant's answer credits three or four sources rather than ten. ### How is AEO different from SEO? SEO optimises for position on a results page; AEO optimises for being quoted in a generated answer. The technical groundwork overlaps almost entirely, but the content work does not. AEO rewards pages that answer a question directly in the first sentence, make specific and attributable claims that survive summarisation, and describe the business identically everywhere it appears. Keyword density and page count, which still move SEO metrics, do very little here. ### Can you guarantee my business will appear in ChatGPT results? No, and neither can anyone else. AI assistants choose sources with systems that change without notice and that no agency controls. What we do guarantee is the method and the measurement: we record which sources are cited for your customers' questions today, do the work, and re-run the same questions every month so you can see the movement rather than take our word for it. ### How do you measure whether AEO is working? We report four numbers every month: citation share across a fixed set of buyer questions, organic position and impressions from Search Console, answer coverage — the share of mapped questions that have a page answering them — and qualified enquiries attributed to organic and AI referrers. Referrals from assistants are tracked separately, because visitors arriving from an AI answer convert noticeably better than generic organic traffic.
